MD Plast S.p.A.<\/em> has carried out an important project thanks to funding from the Impresa 4.0 program, supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), enhancing technology, productivity, and workplace safety.<\/h4>\n

Decree and Regulatory Reference<\/h3>\n

MD PLAST S.p.A., by decree dated 02.02.2022, was funded for the technological and digital transformation of the company<\/strong> through the use of enabling technologies under the Impresa 4.0 plan<\/strong> (Annex 1 to DM 30 October 2019 \u2013 Axis VI, Investment Priority 13i, Action 3.1.1., Project Code B41B21007370004<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

European Context<\/h3>\n

The project was financed as part of the European Union\u2019s response to the COVID-19 pandemic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Technological Investments and Productivity Increase<\/span><\/h2>\n

Thanks to this investment, MD Plast<\/strong> was able to expand and diversify production capacity<\/strong> through the acquisition of new machinery<\/strong> for the manufacturing of primary forms of plastic.
The adoption of these technologies enabled a significant increase in productivity<\/strong> and a faster pace for existing industrial processes.<\/p>\n

The project contributed to improving product performance<\/strong>, increasing efficiency<\/strong> and flexibility<\/strong> in company operations.
It also delivered tangible benefits in terms of workplace health and safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Doubling Production and Ensuring Continuity<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The new production line allowed doubling the production of black masterbatch<\/strong>, halving processing times and ensuring continuity even in the event of a line stoppage, reducing costs and overtime hours.<\/p>\n

Greater Market Competitiveness<\/span><\/h2>\n

Company competitiveness improved by at least 50%<\/strong> thanks to increased production capacity and more efficient processes.
MD Plast<\/strong> can now approach the market with shorter production times<\/strong> and a doubled productivity rate<\/strong>, strengthening its position in the sector.<\/p>\n

Digitalization and Smart Factory<\/span><\/h2>\n

The project fostered the growth of the company\u2019s digital maturity<\/strong>.
Already oriented towards the concept of a \u201csmart factory\u201d<\/em>, MD Plast<\/strong> recorded a 50% increase in process digitalization<\/strong> thanks to new management and logistics systems<\/strong> and the acquisition of advanced technological and IT skills<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
